Uncle David I'm excited by the pics of India, The Empire of the Spirit! they are awesome! The blog was great...well done. I can't wait to see you both when you return to hear all the news you haven't included in the blogs! I'm off to The Mansion House, near St. Paul's in London tomorrow evening there's a Champagne reception at 7.00 before the Gala Dinner and auction of Damien Hirst's work. It's Black Tie! I've booked a room in a hotel in Hammersmith for tomorrow evening so I don't have to fret about the commute and work on Friday morning! - I'm assuming your trip is almost over as I recall you saying that the last two weeks would be spent in India. I hope it all goes well and wish you both a safe and speedy journey home. Have you booked an audience with the Dalai Lama before returning to UK...it would be marvellous to speak to him wouldn't it?! (If it's just not possible...try and get hold of a white silk scarf that's been blessed by him. Best always. Love xxx

Uncle David I've never been to the Far East and will be very interested to hear all about it upon your return...the blog was terrific though thanks for that...what an education for you both though the episodes of the travelling sounds exhausting! Just be wary of other travellers won't you. We've had a monsoon of sorts in the UK up till the time of the Olympic Games but have had periods of heat and sun. I've chatted to your mother Craig over cyberspace with the Skype app I know she and Terry have been following your journey with great interest. Sorry haven't been in touch for awhile but I'm now locked back into the start of the new Autumn Term at work / had inset training on behaviour management and 'happiness and wellbeing' lectures! last Friday! It's all go again - Thanks for the postcard from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney that arrived on my mat in TWells last week so it's made it all that way to Kent I thought the Stephen Birch sculpture very peculiar isn't it?! If a little creepy! I wonder how your perception of life in Leeds is going to change when you both return after your whistle-stop tour of India and everything else that you've seen! I also have some news - I've won an art prize and attending a very smart Black Tie event at Mansion House in London soon...Enjoy what's left of your trip to the world - keep safe and well - Bye for now love to you both xxx

nicandcraig Amy, we are jealous about the closing ceremony! We haven't been able to see much of the Olympics but we can get up at 6am to watch it, nah not on holiday! Haha :p we will be coming to visit you when we get back :) take care xxx

nicandcraig Thanks :) we absolutely loved it! We already want to go back! And the van was a great idea, some of the campsites we stayed in we're 5* - can't beat it! Next stop is Sydney and Melbourne, followed by Thailand and India - whistlestop tour! :D Nic xx
